I'm seeing a lot of non-believers out there when it comes to the status of Rutgers football as a national power. It wasn't a miracle run last year, the team actually peaked a year earlier than I expected. This is the year I figured them to make the run, because of the schedule and the fact that they will have a physically talented qb, that also has game experience.
Looking at the schedule, there are only two games that I can look at and say it should be a tough win (West Virginia and L'ville) the rest of the games shouldn't be as challenging.
That being said, anything can happen and this squad will finish with no more than 2 losses, so if they beat the earlier 2 teams mentioned they still have to overcome the bad game (everyone has a tough game to some unexpected team), the rivalry games (UCONN & Syracuse) and then people will see that coach Schiano is building a powerhouse in New Jersey. |
